Forget about the 5th

Well Boston can officially say goodbye to being in the 5th percentile for everything. Here are his 2 month stats

-Weight- 11 lbs. 1 oz. putting him in the 50% that's right he really is deserving of being called a chunk
-Height- 23 inches 75% Expected remember who his Mom and Dad are... two tall people
-Head- 15.3 inches 50% An average noggin is great!

Other than him getting 4 shots and screaming his head off for about 15 minutes (I wanted to cry to it was the saddest thing seeing tears run down his face for that long) his appointment went well. On Thursday we went to the neurologist to check on the bleeding in his head and it is all gone. We feel very blessed that his head heart and lungs have healed all on their own and that he is a healthy happy baby.

Check out my battle wounds

Yes this was his sad face all day long. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen.

Boston 2 Months Old

I can't believe how fast time flies. My little buddy is 2 months old today. He is getting so big (we go to the doctor on Monday I will post the facts on how big he really is then) I can't believe it. Pretty much every morning Trav and I wake up and say wow he changed again over night. Here are a couple things that our family has learned in the past 2 months.

Mom & Dad-
1. We can function on a lot less sleep than we thought we could.
2. We love after 6:00 pm when Trav gets home and we have family time.
3. I am getting really good at doing two things at one time.
4. I can get ready during the week pretty fast. I take my time on the weekends because Trav is home.
5. I am really good at getting poop stains out of clothing. Yes the kid can poop really well.
6. We are good planners. We plan everything around Boston's feeding schedule.
7. We can change his diaper really fast.
8. Our bedtime (mine mostly) is getting earlier. If we are not doing something hands on I start to fade around ten.
9. Keep trying on the bottle he will eventually get it. (he is pretty good at it but still prefers his Mom)
10. I am pretty good at the public (public meaning in a public area in a private place) nursing thing.

Boston-
1. He can tell when we are stopped at a red light. He loves the car but doesn't like to be stopped.
2. He loves tummy time. (I wish he could sleep on his stomach during the night he sleeps so much better)
3. He is learning how to sleep longer. Last night he went down at 9:30 and woke up at 3 and then at 6 he wanted his diaper changed and went back to sleep till 8:30. It was great. Don't worry I am not getting my hopes up that this will become the norm.
4. He prefers Mom's 4 runner over Dad's Volvo because it is bouncier.
5. He loves to be outside.
6. If Dad is holding him he better be bouncing him. Only snuggles if he is really tired.
7. He really likes his medicine for his acid reflux.
8. He is actually liking bath time.
9. He has a strong neck and likes to show it off.
10. He loves his baby gym. He will look at himself in the mirror forever.

Here is a pic of him looking at himself in the mirror. So cute.

Easter 2008

We had a great Easter. The morning started out like this...

if your wondering what that is it's a whole heck of alot of pee that Boston managed to pee on me. I am still wondering how he got so much out in the ten step walk from his room to the bath. What the picture doesnt show is the poo that was running down my arm yes he found time to do that as well.

Then we went to church which was really good I love the musical numbers the ward choir puts together on Easter Sunday.

We then came home and hung out all day as a family it was great. Trav cooked some amazing chipotle steak here he is working his magic (he is REALLY good on the grill). He loves our little grill and says when we have room for a bigger one he will have a hard time giving it up.

Here is just a picture to show how our little 5lbs. 13 oz. boy is really chubbin out

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

O and just a cute picture of Boston asleep in Travs arms. He loves his face being touched when he falls asleep and here is Trav doing his magic. He can get him to sleep so much easier than I can.

Boston's 1st

This past week and a half Travs Mom came into town to spend time with us and get to know Boston. Brandon and Emily also came up from Waco while Brandon was on spring break for law school. We had so much fun with all the family in town and it made it even better that we were able to get out of the house and play. Boston experienced some of his first's this past week and a half.

*His first real tear.
(If him crying didn't already make me sad the tears made it worse.)

*He got his first professional pictures taken.
Here is one of my favs.

*His first belly laugh. (It is the cutest thing ever. He smiles and his little toad belly shakes.)

*His first trip to the Dallas Fort Worth Zoo.
We went with all Travs family. We had so much fun and let me tell you that is one great Zoo.

Boston all bundled up in his stroller

Boston loves to look people in the face. He stares deep down into you its so cute. Here he is doing it to Grandma Wilson.

Like Father Like Son

In case anyone was wondering who Boston looked like I thought I would share these pictures of Trav when he was a baby. Trav weighed 4 pounds more than Boston did when he was born and in these pictures he still has a good 2 pounds on him. I think it is kinda freaky how much they look alike especially if you saw Boston in real life.
