Eight

My Little guy is back and is eight months old today! He is back to being the happy little guy that I can just go lay down in his crib and he will go to sleep, he sleeps through the night again (still waking up to early but that's OK), and he is pretty dang cute if you ask me. I can't believe how big he is getting it blows me away!

I usually do things that Boston loves but this time I am going to do things that I love about Boston being eight months
* I LOVE being his Mom.
* I LOVE how much he loves his Daddy! The smiles he gives him when he gets home from work are the best!

* I love that he plays with my hair when he is tired.
* I love the smiles we get when we go get him from his crib.
* I love that he is becoming his own little person with the cutest little personality.
* I love the 2 second cuddles he gives me.
* I love how active he is. Seriously he almost jumps out of my arms 2-3 times a day.
* I love how he sleeps with Shamu tucked under his arm.
* I love the deep voice that he has
* I love how ticklish he is
* I love the look on his face when he sees me bring him food

* I love how great of an eater he is. He will seriously eat anything.
* I love how he rubs his eyes when he is tired.
* I love how much he likes to be outdoors.

Most of all I love him. It is amazing how a little child can bring meaning to everything you do. He gives Trav and I a reason to be the best that we can. There is nothing that I love more than being his Mom. I am so glad that I have such an amazing husband to get to share this with.

You've met Bruiser now it's time to meet my Husband

According to the Fantasy Football smack board he has a mullet, is a raiders fan, and has a handle bar mustache. In fact he is such a big raiders fan that he will be trying out for their cheer squad.

Can I just say I love my Husband and I love this time of year. I love this time of year because it is Football season which means it's time to bring out the little boy that used to collect sports cards, the chest pounding over a good call, and last but not least the Fantasy Football fanatic in my Husband. I am not going to lie I too love Fantasy Football and am just as curious as he is all Sunday and Monday if he is winning. I would like to think that I was always someone who liked sports but that isn't really true. I only liked them if my Brothers were playing or if my friends were at the games to talk with. O how times have changed. I love sports! I have become someone I never saw myself being. I love the Mavericks and the Cowboys. I love to sport my team gear when the games are on. I love to watch the Sports Center Highlights before I go to bed and don't tell anyone but yes I do check them out during the day while no one is around.

Anyways I just thought this was hilarious and would be fun to share. Thanks Clay for making us laugh I really appreciate the doodle work you put into this picture. Good luck to all the Fantasy Football players may your season be as exciting as ours. (yes I pretend I play, but really I am just the defensive coordinator on Travs team. Boston won me over on becoming the assistant coach. And yes I did give myself that title.)

Just one of those days

Today has definitely been one of those days. The day officially started at 12:00 so I will start there.

12:00 - dead asleep in my bead (wish I was still there)
3:00 - Bobo wakes up crying so I go in to see whats up. He is twisted all weird and can't breath because his nose is a running faucet. (I hope those teeth come soon to make reason for this stuff)
3:45 - I finally got Bobo back to sleep. I haven't had to get up with him like that in months.
5:00 - Bobo wakes up doing his spit noise. I turn off the monitor and try to go back to sleep. Checked the monitor about fifteen minutes later and he was back asleep thankfully.
6:45 I am talking to Trav while he is getting ready for work and no joke right as I was saying "I am so glad Boston is still asleep" here comes the spitting noise he is awake and ready for the day. I go get him and try to put him back to sleep with a bottle.
7:15 I finally give up on getting him back to sleep because lets face it he is wade awake and him being wide awake out weighed my wish of still being asleep.
7:30 - My legs are itching like crazy from yesterday when I sat in a ant hill. I now have 17 huge red itchy spots on my legs.

I then go to Hobby Lobby which was good I love that store. After that off to Michaels to get some boards that are on sale only to find that they are sold out. Next to Wal-mart. (grocery list 1-milk, 2-rubbing alcohol to clean Boston's helmet, 3-tissues to wipe Boston's faucet, and 4-hand soap)

Wal-mart broken down
-I happen to pick the shopping cart that has a broken wheel and is impossible to drive straight instead going slightly left the whole time.
-I start out going to get the alcohol because it is on the other side of the store.
-Then I go to get the tissues, hand soap, and milk.
-check on the tissues
-realize that the hand soap isn't over by the tissues like I thought it would be.
-go back to the other side of the store to get soap.
-after getting the soap realize I didn't get the milk.
-pretty annoyed with myself right now and so is Boston. He is fussing and demanding that I carry him and attempt to push the retarded shopping cart one handed. It kinda worked I only almost ran into 2 people.
-check on the milk go check out
-dang it left the wallet in the car
-ask the lady at speedy check out if I can leave my cart here for one minute because I left my wallet in the car.
-go get wallet
-come back to find cart gone and no lady at speedy check out
-start over and this time it went alot better

I am a little scared of my brain today it isn't seeming to work the way I want it to and it's only 12:45. I think I am going to get in the shower and pretend the day is just starting.

Please tell me I am not the only one who does stupid things like this. I hope your brain is functioning better than mine is today. O did I mention my legs itch like crazy!

P.S. you should have seen how many words spell check informed me I had spelled wrong. Ha ha ha ha

Meet Bruiser

Here is our little bruiser. If you thought he looked like a stocky seven month old before you should check him out now. The helmet kinda reminds me of the knight hats my brothers and I would put on our Lego's. He got his helmet on Monday and lets just say it's been a long week. I have been feeling so sad for my little guy. The first two days were pretty tough for him. He would just sit and pull on it and cry. Talk about breaking my heart. As for sleeping you can forget about it because Boston for sure has. Getting him to take a nap has become quit the chore. I don't blame him sleeping on a hard piece of plastic doesn't sound the best. Really for the most part if we are busy he has been great. I think it has been extra hard because I am pretty sure he really is teething. If you can't tell I feel very bad for him. I was going to paint it like a Texas Rangers hat but to be honest knowing how much that thing cost I don't dare do a thing to it. He already gets looks and if I were to mess it up I could only imagine because there is no way we would be able to fork over the money again.

He has to wear it 23 hours a day. We take it off for an hour at night before he goes to bed to clean it. He sweats so bad in it that the thing has a pretty nasty smell by the end of the day. While we are on the subject of sweating I might as well mention the bad heat rash the dang thing gave him. We can put 1/2% cortisone cream on once a day to help is all. Hopefully his body will adjust soon so it won't bother him as bad.
Here is a pic of his heat rash. I thought he loved bath time before but O boy does he love it now because it also means no helmet time.

Here is something that will make him happy at any time. He loves to stand up and hold on to the couch all by himself.

We are working on this. He doesn't really know what to do once he gets here.

We are so grateful that we were able to get him this helmet. We can't believe how much it has changed already and it's only been five days. We know it is something that we will never regret.

Seven

Also While we were in Utah Boston turned seven months old. Once again I can't believe that another month has gone by. Time is flying. He is such a good baby. He is trying to figure out the crawling thing but it's not going so well. He gets a little frustrated when I put a toy in front of him and he only moves backwards =). He still loves food very much. He is more interested in mine and Travs food but as long as he eats first we are usually OK. He is working on the whole teething thing. I swear he has been "teething" for about 3 months but nothing yet.

Things he loves
* being read too
* Swimming and baths
* water bottles
* His little fishy toy
* "Talking" we call it the moose call. It is absolutely hilarious I need to get a video of him doing it and put it on here. Some people tell us he sounds like a little old man.
* Being outside
* Eating
* Mom and Dad

We got his "6 month" (taken at 7 months) pictures this week. They turned out so cute. We had to get the one of him in the hat and shoes for Dad. We love this little guy so much he brings an amazing amount of happiness into our lives.

My Brother got married!

Two weeks ago we went to Utah for my Brother Kyle's wedding. We had a good time seeing family and enjoying some cooler weather. My brother and Trista have been dating for a year and a half and they finally tied the knot. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. We are so excited for Trista and her kids to be a part of the family.
My cousins and I. I miss these girls so much!!!

While we were there my camera broke so I didn't get very many pics. But I was able to get one of Brittany, Nicole and her new baby Asher (cutest little guy ever!!), and I. It was so good to see these guys it has been so long.

Here are some cute pics of Boston on the trip.

Also my little brother Kelsey's best friend Cole got home from his mission so he came over and said hi and met Boston. It kinda made me sad that his friend held him before he did but it also got me really excited for when he will get to. It's only nine months away but nobody is counting.
