Eleven

I can't believe that in less than a month my baby will be a year old. I am having a hard time with it. Over the last couple weeks he has changed so much and is acting so much older. He understands us more and is doing all sorts of big boy things. He is such a good baby. He sleeps about 11-12 hours at night and he takes 2 1-2 hour naps during the day. His favorite food right now is Chicken nuggets and he can never get enough juice. He still love baby Einsteins and has developed a new love for cars. He has figured out how to walk along everything and I know its only a matter of time before he can do it on his own. I have always looked forward to Boston doing the next thing rolling, sitting, crawling, but I am not looking forward to him walking. It just makes him seem so much older and I love this stage he is at and I don't want it to change. I can't not mention how much he loves his snugly that little thing goes everywhere with us and when it's time to wash its a sad day. When I lay him down to go to sleep he keeps his arm in the air until I give it to him. I love this little guys so much and am so grateful that my Heavenly Father gave him to me. I can't imagine my life without him.

Christmas

I can't say it enough that Christmas is ten times better when you have kids. Boston has been in heaven the last week. Eating and sleeping have become burdens and rather hard to do if I don't say so myself. I guess if I had a room full of new toys I wouldn't want to do much else either. On Christmas eve we went over to my Brother in-laws house and ate and ate and ate and played the Wilson family gift exchange game. We played dress up and painted our fingers and toes.

Then we watched the nativity to remember what this Holiday is really all about. Ed and Xela's friends came over and it was so fun to see their kids and my Nephews answer questions about our Savior, holy cow lets just say the knowledge these little ones have amazes me and gets me very excited to teach Boston about the Gospel. After that we did the traditional Christmas eve jammies.
Christmas morning was so fun. Boston could have cared less about opening presents but he sure did have fun playing with what was inside. Around ten Boston was getting tired so he went down for a nap and Trav and I ended up opening most of his presents. He got very well taken care of by us and his Grandparents. He got a walker and lets just say he is on the go. He doesn't know how to turn it yet so he gets kinda frustrated when he plays with it at our house because after about ten steps he has ran into something. He has a new love for cars. He will play with them forever. I think he just really wanted to fit in with his bigger cousins. He also love his rocking horse it make a trotting sound and he loves it. He also got this way cute soccer Jersey from my Brother Kelsey who is on a mission in Chile I love it!!

Hey Santa

I have been so excited to get pictures with Boston and Santa so last weekend we went to the mall and they were charging $17 bucks and you couldn't just take them with your own camera. I was pretty sad about it but then the community where my Mom lives was having a pictures with Santa day so last night I took him over to get his pictures. He didn't really know what to think he was on the verge of crying the whole time, but just kept looking at him so confused. Before you could see Santa you had to write him a letter so Boston did and told him what he wanted for Christmas. Of course he wanted the 3 things we got him for Christmas. :)

Also yesterday I the girl who stinks at cooking made some very delicious if I don't say so my self Christmas Candy. My Mom and Grandma made this every year and I finally learned and was very proud of myself. I made peppermint bark, peanut brittle, and almond roca. Making the candy was quit the process but I am so glad I learned how. Thanks again Mom. PS don't mind how beautiful I look it was a long day of candy making.

New Tricks

Check out Boston's new tricks he thinks he is pretty cool. If you stick out your tounge he will be doing it right back. Don't worry we are well aware that this might come to kick us in the rear later but we thinks it's cool for now anyways. The next one you are lucky enough to see on camera. Too bad Mom is not tall enough to help him with his second trick.

My little hippo

So I have been trying to get pictures of Boston teeth ever since he got them 2 1/2 months ago but until today I have failed. He got his bottom two when he was about eight months and then the two new beauties he got about 2 1/2 weeks ago. When Boston turned eight months and still has no teeth I was talking to Travs Mom and she said well he might be like Travis and get his vampire teeth first. I laughed at the thought of how funny that would look. Well Boston didn't get them for teeth #1 and #2 but he did get them for teeth #3 and #4 and it is pretty funny looking. Here is the best picture I could get and just a couple of his cute smile while I was trying to get them. He kinda looks like a hippo.

You kinda have to look close but they are there

I am very glad that they are finally here because I'll tell you what those vampire teeth almost killed me. He got so sick I'm talking the whole fever, throw up, no sleep thing it was pretty bad. I guess that's why babies don't normally get them until around age 2.

Our "Tree"

Every year since Trav and I have been married we have gone to the tree lot and picked out our tree. I loved having the smell of fresh pine in our house. So this year we went to the local tree lot (wal-mart) to pick out our tree. Well the trees were ridiculous they were already practically dead and were running for like $60 for a 4 foot tree. We talked to the guy and he said that Christmas trees only last about 2 weeks max here in Texas. You would have thought somebody shot Travis he was devastated. So to make a long story short we ended up buying an artificial tree and my Mom got us a pine smelling candle thing to make up for the smell. I will let the pictures do the talking.

As you can tell Bosotn and I are very happy with the tree. Trav on the other hand well he is actually starting to be ok with it. He was pretty bummed that Boston will be growing up on fake tree's. I love it and think it turned out so cute!

San Antonio

About a week and a half ago we went down to San Antonio with Travs brothers family for the weekend. It was a quick get away but we had so much fun. I would like to thank the Hunters for lending us their portable DVD player and Baby Einstein's for keeping Boston a happy little guy the entire 4 hour drive. We went and saw the Alamo which was so fun to learn more about and then we spent the night on the River walk can you say BEAUTIFUL!

Cute Boy!! Love that Face.

This is as close as we will ever get to Mountains is Texas and I LOVED them.

Family at the River Walk

Birthday Week

On the 15th and 18th of November Trav and I celebrated our birthdays. I turned 23 and Trav turned 26. We kept things kinda low key and it was so nice.

My Birthday fell on Saturday so we just relaxed all day and hung out as a family which doesn't happen that often so it was perfect. That night we went out to eat at the Grand Lux Cafe, delicious is all I can say about that. then we came home and had cake and ice cream with Jamie and Ryan.

O we also got to listen to my Mom's beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday hense the laughing my head off.

For Travs Birthday we went and met him for lunch at Pot Belly's deli. Then he worked a usual day sad for him. After he came home from work we enjoyed some BBQ wings from Travs favorite Wing Stop and then we ate my attempt at a pumpkin pie birthday cake. It was rather runny but of course my amazing husband said it was good. He is so nice to never give up on my cooking.
