He's Two

and we can't believe it!!! The past two years have gone by so fast! Today we kept pretty busy celebrating. We started out at the gym which Boston loves. Then met Grandma D. Julia and Andrea (or Bones as Boston calls her. We have no idea where it came from) to our surprise today was a puppet show day so that made Boston a very happy boy. After the library we went on a little lunch date to Chick-fil-a where Boston and Julia had the best time opening and closing the door over and over again. These two are such good friends and play so well together. At the library they were walking around holding hands it was so dang cute. During Boston's nap I made his Birthday cake which I am pretty proud of. Definitely better than last year. After naps we watched cars because that is the Birthdays boys favorite. Then Trav got home from work and the party started. We had pizza for dinner and opened presents. One thing we know for sure is that he loves to open presents because he sure ripped through them really quick. We had such a great night as a family and feel so blessed to have our sweet boy. I think Boston's favorite part of the night was blowing out his candles he was loving it.
Boston is such a fun little guy. I love this age. He is learning new things everyday and says some very funny things. Every time I put him down for a nap or bed he says love ya, see ya, I'll call ya.

Some fun things to know about Boston...
-There is nothing he loves more than cars. Anything that has to do with the movie is the greatest thing ever even if it's just a piece of paper.
-He loves to take color baths
-He has chips and salsa almost everyday.
-He has a new infatuation with pockets and has been know to sneak a few cars in them before church.
-He LOVES to be outside. Summer can't come fast enough
-Chocolate milk has pretty much tripled his milk intake.
-Every night after baths he rolls off the couch with Daddy and cracks up laughing the entire time.
-He loves to read books. His favorite is to read Goodnight Gorilla over the phone with Grandma W.
-His cupcake holders are second favorite to his cars. (Notice them in the back of his truck in the picture above.
-He calls his Vitamins Bias and loves them
-For some reason Daddy's car is sooo much cooler than Mom's
-Snuggly's still are his favorite thing. He even shares them with his cars
-A new favorite is his Pillow case he got from Grandma and Grandpa
-He says "cute this" over and over again when we go shopping. I love it.
-He loves music
-One thing we did to get him to eat better was show him pictures of people and it worked pretty well. If we got a Christmas card from you he most likely knows your name.
-He is still a great sleeper which I love.
-If we ask what color something is he always answers in this order Pink, Green, Red, Blue, Yellow
-He loves bridges
-For some reason he loves walmart. We pass it on the ways to the gym and he always says "hi walmart miss you"
-He mimics us all the time. I have caught him putting on deodorant, coming his hair, making the bed, and lots of other cute things.
-Every night at bedtime we sing I am a child of God, Wheels on the bus, Families are Forever, The wiseman built his house on a rock, I love to see the temple, and Open Shut them. Good thing he doesn't mind my terrible voice.
-He has been using the word "mine" way way too much lately
-He loves to say the prayer. He usually ends up saying thank you for McQueen, thank you for Mater and so on with all his cars names.
-About 60% of the time he calls me Teresa instead of Mom

Boston Mommy and Daddy love you so much. You are such a good boy and we thank our Heavenly Father each day for you.

So glad she did

One thing I am pretty sure I could never have done was stick around for a Missionary, but I am sure glad she did. Brienne is prefect for Kelsey in every way. I am so glad that she will finally be a premanent part of our family. We have been hoping for it the last 4 years. I couldn't be happier about this. May 8th in the Salt Lake Temple is the big day. By the way check out her ring I am in LOVE with it! Wait till you see the whole thing you will die by it's beauty.

Congrats you guys we love you both so much and can't wait to see you.

Over the weekend

For Christmas I got Trav tickets to the Mavs vs. Jazz game. He was really excited until the Cowboys won and had their first Playoff game the same time as the Jazz game. We went anyways even though it was a pretty big game. The Mavs ended up getting killed, but it was OK because the Cowboys killed the Eagles and that was more important to us. We had a good night out. Boston spent the night with his favorite babysitter Grandma D. They went to the mall and had dinner, watched the hockey game, and played in the Disney store for an hour. He was is 2 year old Heaven!

I think it's safe to say that about 50% of the arena was on their cell phones checking the score of the Cowboys game. Trav included. They were also kind enough to show highlights throughout the game.

A little Update

Here are a few pictures of the house recently. Things are moving pretty quick and if all goes as planned we should be able to move in the next 3-4 weeks.

Bye Bye Binky

I have put this day off for so long. I was having a hard time wanting to get rid of binky. Besides snuggly this is the only thing that Boston has ever been attached to. He didn't care to nurse after 5.5 months, no more bottles at 11 months, and you could say goodbye to rocking him to sleep around 6 months. So for me this was hard because it was the only baby thing left and he REALLY REALLY liked. Since he was 18 months he has only had it for naps and bedtime. Which leads me to my next point. He is a really good sleeper and I didn't want to say goodbye to that either.

Well much to our surprise he did AMAZING. Like I said we kept putting this off for one reason or another and one day at nap time I decided it was time. Probably not the best idea to do it at nap time, but it worked. I snipped off the top and gave it to him. He kept saying "O no binky broken" and asked Trav to fix which made me really sad. His expression was hilarious when I gave him his "broken" binky. He had to look of "what in the world happened to my binky". I let him go down with his broken one and after twenty minutes of talking to himself he went to sleep for two hours. Not a tear was shed. Same thing at bedtime. I couldn't believe it. He has only cried once and to be honest I wanted to cry too. For a couple days his naps were shorter, but it didn't take long before they were back to three hours. Just one more thing that makes my baby not so much of a baby anymore and it kills me. Is he really almost two? When did this happen? As for now he spends his days like this. Inside Mac organizing his cars. He lined them up like that with no help. He has always been a sorter. If you look close all the same kind of cars are together. He even has all the McQueen's next to eachother. Enjoy this movie that is mostly for Family. He is a pretty smart guy and somehow knows how to count. He can count to 15. In this clip he only does 10. I don't really know where he learned it. He has toys that count to ten so where the 11, 12, 13, 14, & 15 came from I have no idea.

Happy New Year

We had such a fun New Years Eve night. We decided to keep it low key and just be the three of us. We started the day with a little Christmas money shopping. Then we cam home and Boston and Trav took a LONG nap. When they finally woke up at 5:30 we decided that we would make sushi and watch movies at home. It was quit the adventure to find all the ingredients, but we did it just in time before the stores closed. Boston was very happy to run around to all the different stores because he had a bag of Cheetos which made a huge mess. After all the running around Boston celebrated with a color bath which he LOVES and then off to bed. Trav and I had so much fun making the Sushi and if I do say so myself it was so dang good. After Sushi and Martinellies we turned on a movie. I fell asleep around eleven. Trav woke me up for a kiss. I kissed him and wished him a Merry Christmas. I was very tired. Remember I didn't take the LONG nap.

We had such a fun weekend. Trav took some time off and we had 4 whole days together it was beautiful. We also took Boston to his first movie Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs. We had no idea how he would do considering cars is the only full length movie he has ever sat all the way through. To say the least we were very surprised that he didn't move the entire time. Defiantly something we will be doing alot more of as a family. So fun!!!
