Halloween Night

Grandpa and Grandma Wilson came down for a quick weekend to spend Halloween with us. Boston had a last minute change of mind and wanted to carve his Pumpkin thank goodness Grandpa came through because I wasn't too excited about doing it.

After naps we had yummy Clam Chowder for dinner and got all ready to go out and Trick or Treat around the neighborhood.
Carter was pretty serious about this Trick or Treat business and would not let us hold him for any of it. He walked ALL over the neighborhood and by the look of his candy bag it was a tough job for the little man. That thing was about to fall apart there were so many holes in the bottom. He LOVED the whole thing and after saying Trick or Treat he would politely say more and you better believe he got more every time.
As usual it was impossible to get a normal pic of the two of them. Love those crazy boys of mine.

Right after these pics in from of our neighbors house they opened the door and screamed boo! It about scared the tar out of the boys, but in a fun we liked it kind of way.
It was so fun to have Grandpa and Grandma I mean Frank and Witch join in on the fun. It's so great to be closer!

Class Halloween Party

One thing I was happy about when looking into the schools here was that they celebrated holidays in the classroom. I loved that they were able to have a school Halloween parade just like when I was growing up.

Boston was/is the best big brother. He took Carter around with him to all the different Centers while I helped for the party. He has gotten all his friends to fall hard for Carter and they think he is the greatest thing there ever was!

Boston and one of his best buddies Logan.
 Cameron. Ryan. Boston. logan. Owen

Mrs. Allen sure has her hands full! That is a lot of high energy kids right there.
Boston and Carter with "the girls" we have become friends with their family and we take them home from school a couple days a week. Obviously they are twins and I still can't tell them apart drives me crazy!

Trunk or Treat

At our church every year they do a trunk or treat for the kids. We went as a band of pirates mostly because Boston gave us no choice. I had much better intentions for Trav and I, but didn't quite pull it of. Thankfully the Adlongs came through with a couple pirate accessories we could borrow.

Two of my cute kids in my primary class.
Boston and his buddies. He loved that so many people didn't know who he was.
Carter and Trav were the candy givers for our family. I would take candy from them any day. Pretty cute boys if you ask me.

Painting Pumpkins

Just in the nick of time we decided to paint our Pumpkins for Halloween. The boys are not big fans of the pumpkin guts and neither are we so painting is our preferred route. They both got very into it and Carter LOVED that we actually let him go at it with the paint. Trav and I got in on the action too but somehow I forgot to take pics of us.

Poop

We were out running errands and Boston asked if he could take a picture of Carter and I. After the pic he handed my phone back and said "here now you will always remember the day you went to Michael's with poop on your pants" Carter had a nasty diaper when he woke up from his nap and somehow it got on my pants. Glad we document those special moments around this house.

Dad's Work Party

The week of Halloween was crazy! It seemed like we had something every night and first up was Trav's work party. The boys had a great time as they always do with the Hunter clan.

Since Trav and Mason are the big dogs over there they became victims to all the kids Halloween games. They were both made into Mummy's and then had to find ten blueberries in a whip cream pie with no hands. The kids had a hay day watching them and boy were they good sports.

The cutest pirates in all the land. Carters makeup looks terrible! I thought that maybe he would hold still if I showed him what I was doing, but I couldn't have been more wrong. When he saw himself he freaked out and kept saying "no no Carter scary" and tried to wipe all the paint off. Needless to say this was the only time he sported the makeup. Boston on the other hand looked pretty legit as Captain Jack Sparrow or "Jack Captain Sparrow" he so kindly corrected everyone.

Soccer Season Ends

Soccer season has come and gone. Boston did great this season and was much more aggressive than we  thought he would be. He said it was fun, but that he liked Baseball better. He's looking forward to playing Basketball come January and I think he will have tons of fun with that.

Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch

We had been wanting to take the boys to a pumpkin patch but weren't sold on the ones that want your right arm as payment for your kids to jump in a bounce house. Someone from work told Trav about Tanaka Farm and boy are we glad they did. It was beautiful!

The place was huge and so so pretty. Have I mentioned how much I love seeing mountains all the time again.
These little four wheelers were a huge hit with the boys! Trav was the better parent like usual and pushed the pedal for Carter his entire turn. Can you say sore back?

After we went over to the Petting Zoo which was Hilarious. I will let the pictures do the talking…..

Safe to say my kids especially Carter are no animal lovers. Trav and I were dying of laughter. Boston looks happy in the pics and for the most part he was, but boy was he jumpy and skid dish. Carter was a mess poor little guy was terrified!

After what seemed like forever we all found our perfect pumpkin!

Don't let the pants fool you we definitely weren't dressed for the weather. It was SO stinking hot out we were dying by the time we left. Orange County definitely hasn't gotten the fall weather memo yet. Such a fun day with the family. Tanaka Farms will definitely be a yearly tradition.
