Trail Run

This morning Robin, Jackie, Becky and I went on a five mile trail run on the olinda oil trail. I love running on the weekend with these girls. Becky is 30 weeks pregnant and it scared me half to death, but she promised she was good ha.

Disney wtih G&G D

Today we went to Disneyland with Grandma and Grandpa D and Corey. It was so much fun. With a little help from stuffed shoes Carter was able to go on so many new rides. I laughed at every picture because you couldn't see him in any of them. He was there I promise.

Can't say it enough….Going on Sreamin' with Boston is SO much fun. He LOVES that ride.

Ice Bucket Challange

We were nominated to do the Ice Bucket Challange that has been going around for ALS. Boston thought it was the greatest thing ever. I'm sure that had something to do with the fact that his water wasn't all that cold. Mine on the other had was freezing! Trav put two bags of ice in and SLOWLY poured it on me. Holy cow that was painful.

Blankets

Sometimes Boston gets these crazy ideas that we just have to do. Yesterday it was making him and Carter new blankets. I had to run an errand to JoAnns so I let them each pick out a small sample of fabric to use for their blanket. We cut up the fabric and used scraps we had at home and they actually turned out darling! The boys were pretty happy with them and it made me glad that I followed through with it.

Soccer Scrimage Game

Boston started soccer a couple weeks ago. We weren't sure how much he was going to like it, but turns out he is loving it. It's such a fun sport to watch and cheer him on. It's fast passed and he sure is aggressive. He's not a runner so we will have to work on that so he keeps moving, but he is doing great for this being his first real time ever playing. He had a scrimmage game this morning and had so much fun!

Kyle's Pants

After Kyle's Funeral we were all going through his stuff and dividing it out. We all hated his chewing habbit so it was pretty funny how excited we got to see his chew can worn into the pocket of every pair of jeans he owned. Sure do miss him.

Aaaaand we are back!

We were excited to have a break from Disney for the summer, but it felt much too long. We were so excited to go back! Jayna is heading off to school in a couple weeks so we will have to squeeze in a couple more times before she leaves.

9 Years!

Today Trav and I have been married nine years! I love that man more than anything. He is good to the core and would do anything for anyone. I am so grateful for him for SO many things, but recently I am most grateful for his ability to never judge people. The first time he met Kyle was when he was serving time in jail. He never once passed judgement towards him and was always so supportive of Ky. He really helped me to seperate Kyle addictions from who he was as a person. I am so grateful that I was able to do that because I have no regrets when looking back over our relationship and I can't imagine how much harder it would be if I did. Trav is and incredible father and I hope our boys always know what an incredible man their father is.

Ventura Weekend Getaway

Emily and the girls were down in Ventura visiting her family so we made the short drive up to spend some time with them. G&G Wilson drove down also so it was even more fun!
Grandma spoiled the kids like always and they sure loved it especially frozen yogurt.
We went to the mall to let the kids play around and do some back to school shopping. They had these animal car things that the kids were dying to ride. It was basically a four wheeler that had a animal cover on it. The best part about the whole thing is that they let the kids ride them all over the mall. I'm sure you can imagine how good of drivers some 4-8 year olds were. They were running into walls, barely missing shoppers, and knocking over plants. I was literally laughing so hard my stomach hurt. I couldn't believe the mall allowed that. I bet it annoys so many shoppers.

We stayed in a hotel with Ma and Papo and lets just say the pictures online were a bit deceiving! The boys wished we lived in a hotel they absolutely love them!

We took these bikes out one day and they proved again to begin a killer workout for the legs. Emily and I somehow got stuck with all the kids. At one point I decided to race them and man alive that was hard work. We came back with sweaty bodies, tired legs, and a bunch or happy kids.

Baseball Camp!

When summer started Boston was geared up and ready for baseball camp, soccer camp, skate camp, surf camp, and a couple lessons of Karate and Art. He was ready in every way except he had no one to pay for them ha. We told him he could pick one and no surprise he chose Baseball camp. Today was his last day and he loved it! He went to Faith Christian Academy camp and it was awesome. They had such great teaching techniques and he really learned a lot.

His favorite activity of the week was when they gave all the kids a pool noodle to practice their hitting. At the end they got to attack their coaches. It was so fun to watch them all get so excited about it.
One of the days they all wore their favorite teams jersey and Boston was so excited to sport his rangers one. He wore his Rangers hat everyday and by the end of the week he was nicknamed "Texas"

His team for the week was Tiny Terrors. He had Coach Miso and loved him. He also got lucky that his buddy Logan ended up being on his team.
Each day they gave out a camper of the day award. Boston loves things like that and he was determined to get it one day. The last day we were driving there and he told me today was the day. He was so happy when he was awarded Camper of the Week! He said "Mom, camper of the day is one thing, but camper a the week is a really big deal" I died laughing and was just so proud of him. He wasn't the best at all, but he had fun and worked hard.

Bazel Kia Erickson

Bazel Kia Erickson
August 7th, 2014
6lbs 13 oz and 19.5 inches

She is finally here and we are so happy! She took her sweet time getting here, but I'm sure Uncle Kyle just wasn't ready to let her go quite yet. As much as we all wanted her to get here while we were in Utah I think the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Some time between kyle passing and her birth was not only good for now, but it will be good for future things as well. Brie was a champ and did it all natural! Really though how dang cute is she! Kels and Brie will be such amazing parents I am beyond happy for them!

Family Time!

With everything so fresh I didn't feel safe around anybody but family for the first week. We stayed in Utah for a week after the funeral. I started out wanting to stay to see Kels and Brie have their baby, but quickly learned that I needed so bad to just be with family and people who loved Kyle like I did.

This little girl brought so much light into all of us. I am so grateful we have her and that I can see Kyle's big brown eyes every time I look at her.

The boys played in the hot springs by kels and Brie's house almost every day. They LOVED it!
It was so fun to watch Kels play in his game. He wasn't sure if he wanted to play because it was something that He and Ky loved. He ended up having a great game and was so happy he played. Baseball is something that brought us all together so it was good to do it and know that it is ok to continue to do the things we love even though Kyle is gone.

Carter was obsessed with Brie's belly. He would give the baby kisses all day long and would drive his car around her belly. It was so cute!
It was so good to be with family. I couldn't help but feel that we weren't complete. Something that I am going to have to get used to.
