Big Bear Getaway

The Hunter family ran into a sticky housing situation and needed to shack up with us for a bit. They were nice enough to invite us up to Big Bear with them for conference weekend. Holy smokes it is beautiful up there! The kids were in Heaven and as always had so much fun together!

 We went down to this spot everyday and they would throw rocks and work up building this little rock wall. They could have stayed for hours. 

 The Alpine slide was right across from the cabin we stayed in so we had to hit it up. I loved going on it in Park City growing up and it was just as much fun as I remember it being, but probably a little better because they kids LOVED it!

 The one time Boston wasn't too sure about being as tall as he is was when he had to go alone. That didn't last long though he jumped right off the first time and begged to go again. 

 Carter is our little adrenaline junky and Trav couldn't go fast enough for him. 

 The kids were so good during conference. Boston found big rocks outside and would color a picture of whoever was speaking on them. My kids a genius I tell ya. Ha

We are so grateful to the Hunter family for inviting us up there. We decided it need to be a conference weekend tradition it was so much fun. We created so many memories, but I think the favorite one was playing sardines together. Trav hid in the sauna and where he was standing was shadowed so when you looked in you couldn't see him. We were all sure he was cheating and laughed so hard once we found him. SO much FUN!!!

Student of the Month

This morning we got to go to Olindas flag ceremony to see Boston be awarded Student of the Month! He always wants Trav to come to the flag ceremonies so it worked out that it was a total shock when he got it. He was so excited and was trying hard not to smile. I love it when he does that because he opens his mouth a little and sticks his tongue to the side of his cheek. It's the cutest thing ever and I know when he does it he is really really happy. 

We sure are proud of our Olinda Eagle he works hard to be a smart little boy!

Open House

We had Boston's Kindergarten open house tonight. He was so excited to show us all around his classroom and everything eh has been working on. Once we got there he could have cared less, he was just happy to see his friends.

They had been watching eggs in their class incubator and they hatched a couple days before open house. I felt so bad for the poor chicks those kids were torturing them!

We were so lucky to have Mrs. Allen she has been such a great teacher for Boston. 

Best Buddies

Is this not the cutest thing ever! These two have always been so great together. Just another pic I had to take for the wedding video. Ha ha just kidding. They have been loving the living arrangements we have going on the past week. 

Baseball with Friends

Boston sure loves when he gets to play against his friends in his class and today he played Hudson. 

 I thought this was so cute when they were on first base. Boston told me before Hudson hit that he didn't want to get him out. Hopefully he gets a little more aggressive as he gets older or hopefully he is on his friends teams. 

To put some icing on the cake of a great game Boston got the game ball. He has wanted one SO bad and has been working hard for one. We couldn't wipe the smile off his face tonight even if we tried. 

Sleeping Boys

 We have been going non-stop for the past couple weeks and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. Carter still naps every day, but I have been making Boston take naps every couple days to catch up. He always says he isn't tired, but it takes no longer than 10 minute for him to be out. I love sleeping kids and especially the snuggles after.

So Proud

Carter has gotten so much stronger over the last couple months. One thing he has always lacked in was upper body strength. He was so proud of himself hanging on this bar. I was shocked how long he could do it for. It was so cute! Everytime after he did it he would run to me for a hug and high five saying "I did it Mommy I did it" I forget sometimes how hard he has had to work for easy things like this and when I'm reminded its so fun to look back and see how far he has come.
