THREE!!!!!

…..and just like he goes and turns three on me! I seriously can not believe he is three years old! I think back and remember days that felt like years and now three years seems to have just blown by! This year was such a fun birthday for him. His therapist was asking him what he was going to do for his birthday and he said he was going to Disneyland. It was a very busy week for us and I had NO intention to go to Disneyland, but gosh darn it if the Birthday boys wants to go well then you better believe we will go. This year I celebrated the fact that he actually had an opinion and was able to communicate it. That right there is huge! Off to Disneyland we went. I let him pick all the rides, which definitely wasn't Boston's favorite idea I've ever had, but in true Boston style he was able to talk Carter into going on a couple rides he wanted to. After Disneyland we came home and had dinner and for the first time ever he enjoyed his Birthday cake which he happened to be specific about and wanted cheese cake. This past year has been so rewarding. He has progressed so much and we seriously never imagined it would be this good!
I just love this little guy, but man is he feisty! He knows what he wants and he knows how to get it whether it be using those big sweet eyes or hitting and crying his way there. Speaking of hitting, Boston seems to be his only target. Fingers crossed it doesn't come ot him having more victims. Thankfully Boston is pretty darn patient with him, but when it runs out it can get nasty between the two of them. They are still the best frienemies!

He works SO hard to learn new things! He is so eager to learn and do new things and will do anything he can to keep up with his big brother. He LOVES snacks, disneyland, his snugglys, cars, and pretty much anything that Boston has in his hands. He is such a polite little guy, always saying please, thank you, your welcome, and I love you. A couple weeks ago he told me he loved me without me saying it first and I about died. There really is nothing better than that.

For someone who wouldn't touch food for the longest time he sure loves it now! He will pretty much eat anything he can. He has a harder time with some meats just because he lacks the strength in his jaw, but he is so good to always give them a try. YOu can pretty much forget about the toddler food with him. If you are around and eating something bigger and more flavorful than what he has you best be prepared to share. His current weird thing that he likes is salad! I don't know why I am so weirded out by it, but I am he loves it so he gets its. Tood bad salad isn't more fattening he could use some fat on those skinny bones.

He is following after his big brother and is now in the 98% for height and 50-60% for weight. My kids always look so much skinnier, because they are so darn tall. Its always good to hear that for their age their weight is normal. Wish I could stretch my weight out over a couple more inches like they can ha. We went to a new pediatrician here (our 3rd one) and I think I finally found one that will do. Dr. Newton ruined us back he TX he was the BEST! Anyways the ped was very impressed with Carter overall. It's always good to hear someones take on Carter who hasn't followed him for a while especially when they are blown away with all that he is doing. Not many people believe my when I tell them he didn't start to eat, walk, or talk until seven months ago.

This little guy is a miracle in so many ways. I thank my Father in Heaven every day that I get to be him Mom. He is such a blessing to our family and we are all pretty crazy about him. Happy Birthday little man we sure love you and are crazy proud of you!
