ONE

Dad and Bobo showing you how old he is.

Happy Birthday to my favorite little boy in the whole world! I can't believe that a year has come and gone already. This past year has definitely been the best ever! I can't even begin to explain the love I have for my little guy but the love I feel for him gives me a better understanding of the love my Heavenly Father has for me and I am so grateful for that. So Mr. Boston here is to you and turning one. I think we will celebrate like this

* Waffles and Berries for Breakfast your favorite

* A good nap (that's a present for me selfish I know)
* Lunch with Daddy at the office
* Another good nap
* Watch a baby Einstein your favorite
* We will all have your favorite dinner Chicken nuggets, Vegetables, mashed potatoes, and of course Juice.
* Open some presents. Sorry nothing to exciting but I am sure you are going to love facing forward in a new car seat.
* Take a long bath because we know how much you love them

* Read a book and go to bed

Sounds fun right? Well we think so and I am pretty sure that lunch with Daddy will be his favorite because he sure does love his Daddy.

Now for the stuff to remember
*Sleep
-11-12 hours at night and two 1-2 hour naps a day
*Words in order they came (the ones we understand but you probably wouldn't)
-Dada, Baba (bottle), Bye bye, Hi, Nana(No no he even shakes the finger with this one), Mama (don't worry I am recovering from the complex of being the 6th word)
*Food
-Chicken nuggets I am pretty sure that 90% of his body is full of them, waffles, oatmeal, vegetables loves em all, fruit loves it all the dried fruit is our life saver, apple sauce, yogurt, teddy grahams, mashed potatoes, and juice are some of his favorites.
*Tricks
-Walking we finally got it on camera he is really good at playing a dead man once we pull out the camera,

waving, dancing, throwing his bows back, blows kisses, growling, driving cars, pointing when he reads, flushing the toilets, kicks balls, can open and clean out any cupboard in seconds, tackles Dad, and gives very good loves.
*Clothes
-Thanks to his Grandmas he has alot. He wears 18-24 month on top 12-18 on bottom and a size 5 shoe!

We sure do love you Boston and thank our Heavenly Father everyday for you. Thanks for showing us what true happiness is and for being our entertainment and believe me you are good entertainment. Love you Bobo

Party Time

On Saturday night we had a little Birthday party for Boston. I know it's kinda pointless to do a party for a one year old but we had fun. Boston wasn't as into his cake as much as I thought he would be. He loved the frosting but even more he loved the ice cream. Talk about one proud Mom I can see him and I this summer sitting outside enjoying a bowl together. Hey may not look like me but at least he loves one of my favorite things. Everyone was so nice to bring him gifts. He got more cars, books with cars in them, and some very cute clothes. Thanks to everyone who came we really appreciate it.

Travis thought it would be fun to give him a little boost for his party. JK

I made these cupcake cones they turned out pretty cute and I think they were a hit

I was going to make a car cake but was a little overwhelmed so I decided to draw cars on the cupcakes and as you can see after two I gave up because I'm pretty sure you cant even tell what they were.

Do you miss it?

I get asked this question all the time referring to me working at Nordstrom. I always answer no because I love what I am doing now. Well on Tuesday night I was reminded of the thing that I most definitely do not miss INVENTORY!! I don't know what was wrong with me when I told my Mom I would come help her because everyone who has worked with me at Nordstrom knows I really really don't like inventory. I do have to say that it isn't as bad when you don't have to do all the preparation work. I think if it was back in the good ole days I would miss it. If your wondering what the good ole days were let me remind you

Nicole-being the absolute best merchandiser and manager ever! Not even kidding she was the absolute best person to learn the role from.
Karissa- sneezing 25 times no lie every morning around 9 am. I stopped saying bless you and just laughed. Or the time when we couldn't figure out the inventory count sheet for the life of us.
Brittany- Thinking she is pregnant every month and our husbands equal love for the Cowboys. Also when she was so depressed about lowering her limit on her Nordstrom card so she could control her shopping habit
Kelly- having quite possibly the worlds largest hold. I would tell her she had to cut it down and I'm telling you taking out 2-3 items was a big deal.
Jamie- getting us all obsessed with the Silver pioneers because they were cute long BP denim
Alli- discussing our wedding plans and being the accessory buying queen
Deb- The worlds best stock girl ever. Basically the BP Mom
Shawni- being obsessed with her tiger bracelet

I also have to mention things like BP video, scrapbook promotions, knowing that anything left in your box was fair game even if it was your first day on the job (sorry Jess that we ate all your candy), The rush of helping LP catch a shop lifter, and Debbie's morning announcements.

These were such fun times. I loved all 6 years I worked at Nordstrom. I have made some of my best friends there and could laugh for hours reminiscing. So here's to the good ole Nordy girls I love and miss you all. (we should have a reunion at a store opening or something someday)

Walk don't Run

This is what I have been trying to teach Boston. About a week a go he figured out how to walk (still trying to get it on camera). It's been fun for Boston. He does really well when he takes off walking on his own, but when he gets really excited for whatever he is on his way too we are in trouble. If he sees something he wants he will take a couple quick steps/Run to get closer and then face plants for it. I have been wanting to get his 1 year pictures taken but really want to wait until the pallet of bruises on his face are gone. Yesterday morning I was telling Trav that his black eye which was the most recent was almost gone. Well in sacrament meeting his face meet the chair resulting in a bloody nose and today his forehead met the armor (which happens to be the source of 90% of his bruises) So the bruise-less face for pictures probably wont happen. One thing I do have to say is he for sure is all Boy!

This Boy LOVES his Cars!!!!

(Pretty good collection for an almost one year old)

Well anyone who has been around Boston the last couple weeks knows that he has developed a new love for cars. He will sit and play with them for hours and I must say that they kept him pretty quiet at church yesterday. At anytime during the day he has one in his hand or very close by in fact McQueen (who happens to be his favorite) is tucked under his blankets asleep with him right now. Also whenever we go somewhere people always comment on Boston's voice and how deep it his. Every noise he makes sounds like it comes from deep down in his belly especially his laugh. Here is a little video to show you. (it's not the best because when we finally got the camera to work we had been doing this for about ten minutes)

Cousins

Over Christmas Boston was able so spend alot of time with his cousins (which I blame for him all the sudden thinking he is so BIG) It was so much fun to see them all together. The thing I was most excited for was for Boston to "play" with his cousin Ryan who is two weeks younger than him. Well lets just say Ryan has three older siblings and might be a little more resilient (aren't I nice to put it that way for Boston's sake) which made Boston feel a little intimidated I think. Whenever Ryan would even get near Boston he would just cry. It must have been the whole stealing the binki thing Ryan usually won.
